Me too. I don't remember the last time I made a telephone call, though

SMS, internet, tram times, weather reports, Pub disputes (aka Wikipedia, google), etc, fantastic...

But phone calls? Nah!

siemens. Was not on the list. They (Siemens) do not even produce phones any more.

Sometimes i think maybe it is a sin that people change their phones and cars frequently

Cell phones are kind of an odd case. With all the special plans and deals and leasing and lockouts and incompatibilities and SIM chips and activation and all that garbage designed to prevent folks from going out and buying the phone they want, when they want and using it with the service they want, how many people can honestly say they own their own cellphone?

With that loss of consumer control, rampant waste is to be expected. I suspect I'll be forced to upgrade sooner or later.

I've starting to shop for a future HTC phone running Android to replace my Nokia E63.

"Where were you when Elvis died?"

"Where were you when the iPhone4 was released?"

I just came back from town and there was a mob of people camped outside the Apple Store. (the fabled handset is released in Switzerland tomorrow) (today now!!)

How sad is that?!

What compels grown human-beings to lodge themselves outside a shop for 12 hours in the hope of getting something that is likely pre-ordered up to the middle of autumn?

Kids these days!

It's a social event... they have nothing better to do, so it's OK. Much better than other social activities. Kids will not get grounded or punished for waiting for an iPhone
