How long is your commute to work?

I'm just curious about the amount of time it takes you to get to work in the morning and whether you drive a car, ride a bike, walk or take public transportation.

On a typical day I drive 10-15 minutes from my house to my work location followed by a 10 walk from the parking lot (car park to my UK friends). This is a big change from my last job where I drove 1.5 hours to work Monday through Friday. My first job I had a 15 minutes drive to 30 minute ferry ride across the bay followed by a 15-20 minute walk to the office.

How long does it take you to get to work?

Longer than my attention span and/or my patience it seems: 2.5 hours each way...w occasional work from home. Oh, wait...they call those 'weekends' here in the States.

Pay was good at first, but it's gotten old.

107 miles (175km) each way, but only once per week. The rest of the time is a short walk from the bedroom to the office. If I need to be at the office for two days, I usually get a motel room. The morning trip takes less than two hours. Coming home can be anywhere from two to four hours.

Physically about 10 minutes - mentally some more while coffee reduces the time to arrive. But then again when I even mentally arrived and realizing where I am I'll sometimes try to bounce a bit back to the other direction, mentally and physically just for mental protection Smilie

On a good day - it's a 40 minute drive (one way) - albeit in a landrover that only does 50mph.

On a bad day - i've been known not to get to work (when an accident has closed the motorway)

office has secure parking area and i park right outside the building.

Twenty three minutes door to door.

If the train's really really late, it can take up to 25 minutes Smilie

15 minutes if the roads are free.
2 hours if it's friday afternoon, and 2 drivers thought their cars could occupy the same space at the same time.
