This is nice hehe I have MidpSSH on my Sony Ericsson w810i and since I do some freelance Sys Admin work, I use it to check up on or manage servers when I'm out of town...typing on the keypad is a real pain in the butt but MidpSSH allows me to use macro's so I have the common tasks set up via macro's.

It's also really useful for my personal use because I'm VERY forgetful...so if I'm out of town and I remember that I was supposed to send someone an attachment that exists on my PC at home, I just SSH into my PC via MidpSSH and attach the file and mail it to whoever via a command line script which allows me to send email attachments from gmail.

Pretty useful and often times, a lifesaver Smilie

Apart from that, I'm addicted to checking my mail very often. So if I'm out of the house and have no access to a PC, I would probably fire up gmail-mobile on my phone to check my mail every few hours.

I use MidpSSH also on a Blackberry. It has helped me many times to fix issues at work.
I'm always on my BlackBerry and because I have unlimited text, it doesn't matter if I use it or not -- I do, however, follow the use etiquette (turn off / mute sound / not checking emails at dinner, etc.).

I do agree with not having smart cellphones

And for some cases in third world country such mine, having E61 in a pocket is look like having good cellphones.

Many tech geek in here still use siemens c55 or nokia 3310 to communicate with other. just SMS and Call only. Smilie

Interesting to see how at this stage 3 out of 5 people rarely or never use their mobile phone for using the internet. These numbers will look vastly different 10 years from now, will be interesting to see the results then.

True. I have unlimited GPRS Internet connectivity which I pay about 18 USD per month on one SIM card and a 30 hour package on my other SIM.

I don't see the purpose of a mobile phone is not used to access the Internet, LOL Smilie Voice, SMS are only two media for communications. Email, PuTTY (SSL), HTTP (Web) are others. I could not live for a day without all of these Smilie
