I have a list of xml files like

prq.xml.table

.
in a txt file.
Now I have to search the file(s) in all directories and sub-directories and print the full path of file in a output txt file.
Please help me with the script or command to do so.

i am using solaris 10, i am creating user with
useradd -d/home/user -m -s /bin/sh user
user is created with in the following path
/export/home/user (auto mount)
i need the user to be created like this
(/home as default home directory )

Hi there,
in a script I have
#!/usr/bin/ksh
TEST=hello
export TEST
Problem is, that the variable doesn't get exported. I also tried
typeset -x TEST=hello
When I put the two lines in my .profile, the variable is set fine.

HI all, I got a CPIO archive that contains a unix filesystem that I try to extract, but it extract to the root dir / unstead of current dir, and happily it detects my file are newer otherwise it would have overwrited my system's file!

I want to do something like

ssh name@computer 'cd /my/dir'
and then continue working in this directory.
Right now if I execute a script "myscript" containing the above, it just drops me back into the bash shell where I started, whereas I want to be able to do work and stuff on... (1 Reply)

specifically, i'd like to:
(1) specify a src directory

In solaris I can switch to /export/appl/home or /appl/home to get to my home dir. If I switch to /export/apps as oppose to just /apps I see lots of other stuff. Can someone tell me the difference? Thanks (3 Replies)
