Increasing swap space

I searched the archives first, but found that there are alot of mixed answers on whether swap space can or can not be increased. Some postings said swap space can be increased using the swap or growfs commands while other postings said you can not increase the permanent size of the swap space.

So my question is can the permanent size of the swap space be increased and not just a temporary increase that would go away after a reboot.

Solaris 8
2 x 72GB hard drives
2GB RAM - this will be increased to 16GB
Netra 240
Disk 1
s0 10240 /
s1 4096 swap (want to increase to 8GB)
s3 1024 /security1
s4 1024 /security2
s6 1024
s7 free /h

Disk 2
s7 free /home2

/etc/vfstab

Look in /etc/vfstab for example on how to mount swap space on boot.
