Data Crontab problem
I have script which uses "for loop" for doing some activity. Inside for loop i have extracted some data and redirecting it to HTML file using "echo" command. When i run this script manually it runs fine and appends the data in the HTML file. However, when I am croning this script for every 5 min the data is not getting appended in the HTML file. Can someone please suggest what is the problem?

You've told us next to nothing about the script, so are we to guess why it functions called one way but not another?

What's the script look like, what is its PATH, how is it listed in the crontab?

If you do a search on cron or crontab in these forums you will find the answer you are looking for. Usually when a script runs from the command line and not cron it is because the environment variables that get set when you log in are not set in cron. You must set those in your script. Good luck.
