mysqldump bus error - cored dumped
hi,

I need to backup a database but I'm getting the error "bus error - core dumped" just after I run mysqldump command.

The server has installed solaris 9.

Any help would be appreciated

What version of mysql you're using, did you build it from source?
What is the exact command you're using to backup the database(s)?

mysql version 5.0.37

the command I used is mysqldump -u kayako_user -p database_name > backup_filename

Are you able to connect using the cli:

mysql -u kayako_user -p database_name

You could post the output from the following command if you have truss installed:
