Is there a place like this for LINUX questions?

Is there some place like this unix.com for linux questions? a forum like area to ask questions? I love this site, i've learned a lot (use unix - solaris, and linux - redhat). Unfortunately redhat.com has gotten rid of their support forums, everything is in a list type format and I don't want to "subscribe" and tyr and dig thru lists for my answers. I'm having problems with the gmc program on my redhat 6.1, keeps crashing and computer is flaking out.

Thanks, kym

One thought is to just post linux questions here.

Linux is more of a unix variant like hp-ux or solaris than it is a separate os. They started from scratch and cannot legally use the unix name, but it seems less alien to me than some official unix offshoots that I have seen.

We get a lot of linux questions here. For many of our users, linux is the only unix system they use.

GMC crash application error

Ok, in RH 6.1 I'm constantly getting linuxconf and gmc application crashed errors when I log in as root, the computer gets slower and slower and finally hangs. What is gmc? Is that gnome manager or something ? How can i diagnose, fix?

There is a 'linuxforum.com' I check out once and I while but I see most of the questions are unaswered. Sorry I can't help you with your actual issue but I though others might benefit from knowing the other site exists. Personally, I prefer this site.

Well with 23,346 members on this site, I'm sure asking Linux question will be right up someones alley. As Perderabo says;

I prefer this site too, more knowledge, more help for sure. Just don't want to get in trouble for posting linux questions. I work with both.

Thanks, kym
