Boot Magic 7
For a multi-boot setup (win2K, XP & SuSE) over 3 drives, where should Boot Magic be installed to? And does it matter which o/s installs it?

BootMagic is Windows based! This means it must be installed in either Win2K or XP.

As such, you need to decide which you want to keep longest as this will determine the OS which stores all the other bootable systems' details. Ideally, this one will also be the "FIRST" OS on the first Hard disk to keep it all neat and tidy!

Thanks Wntellect, that would mean that 2K must do it as 2K has to be installed before XP and is on the first drive - disc 0.

cannot find boot device and won't boot off cdrom

I'm running solaris 2.5.1. My main development server is DEAD, i can't even boot off the cdrom, it powers up, acts like it is starting the boot process but then says cannot find boot device.
