also, did all three disks come with the red hat bible? Most of the time it only comes with the first disk, meaning you have a very limited instalation....

I have both the first book, and the hacking linux exposed book.
Make sure you read the section - don't be a script kiddie. A lot of the utilities it mentions either need to be installed, or have to be run from root. By default in Redhat, /sbin and /usr/sbin are not in your PATH...
If you're looking for something specific, use the "locate" command...

I have that Book too (E-book). Some command not have in RH 8. Because It's any program no have install default in RH 8 System.

Ex: fping, hping is 2 Program. You must install it. After you can use it by command:

hping
fping

With Binary file, you can copy it to /usr/bin
