create password file

Hi all,
I am trying to send a file from my local machine to some remote machine using sftp functionality...I have already checked this thread. here it says:

sftp -b /dev/fd/0 remotehost <<EOF

But I dont understand how to make a password file on this location (/dev/fd/0) ?? And what should be the contents?

Thank you.

Quote:
-b batchfile
Batch mode reads a series of commands from an input batchfile instead of stdin. Since it lacks user interaction it should be used in conjunction with non-interactive authentication. A batchfile of - may be used to indicate standard input....
So the batchfile basicly is intended to store ftp commands such as put or get one per line. fd/0 stdin stuff was mentioned as a way to pass commands to sftp at runtime without using a batchfile.

but you shoud establish non-interactive rsa or dsa key authentication first. so you dont need any cleartext password in any file.
