How do I search between dates?
I have a folder that has files that go way back to 2005. How can I search for files between say Jan 2006 - Dec 2007 only? I did a man on the Find command but nothing in there.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hammer & Screwdriver What do you mean by dates?
Is the date the creation or modification date?
(what you see when you ls -l on a file)
or
Is the date embedded as part of the filename?
(logfile_20071225 = Christmas last year)

touch -t 20060101000001 dummy1
touch -t 20071231235959 dummy2
find /path/to/files \( -newer dummy1 -a ! -newer dummy2 \) -exec ls -l {} \;

It's the creation date.

Example: Mar 12 2007
