How to create alias for a function

Hi,
In Unix (AIX/LINUX) how do we create a alias for a UNIX shell function?
Please help me with that.

alias new_function_name=function

Example : alias c=clear

You don't -
just type the function on the terminal, or put the function in your .profile or maybe your .bashrc file.
Code:
csadev:/home/jmcnama> pw(){
more>echo "$1 eats worms"
more>}
csadev:/home/jmcnama> pw jim
jim eats worms

That function: pw can be invoked at anytime.
