egrep in an array
The following section of code is working OK.
array=(`ls Output*`)
arrlen=${#array[*]}
i=0;
while [ $i -lt ${arrlen} ];
do
/usr/bin/mysql --show-warnings -e"LOAD DATA LOCAL INFILE '${array[$i]}' IGNORE INTO TABLE db.tbl
fi

I want to process the file before being sent to database.
egrep -v '^$|Data Rec:' Output_1003164802.txt

The command given above does work. But I can't integrate it in the array.

Create a temp file for each file in the while loop:
Code:
do
  egrep ... ${array[$i]} >${array[$i]}.tmp
  mysql ... "LOAD DATA LOCAL INFILE '${array[$i]}.tmp' ....
  rm ${array[$i]}.tmp
done
(# done, not "fi")

# 3
