file extension stands for mksys?

hi, what does this mksys stands for in unix?
seems like its something to do with the os.
i am using aix
yls177

mksys - mksysb

Make system backup


Basically by running a mksysb backup to tape will allow you to reboot your AIX machine from the tape drive.
This is sometimes required if your root disk dies.

Very useful, if you haven't already got a mksysb tape I suggest taking one ASAP.
