Error NEW to UNIX & need guidlines
Hi all
I am new to unix 5.5, and need help. I don't know where to start and I do have to work with this version. please your guidline and help are highly appreciated. Also, I have some inquiries
1. how do I mount the dsk to be able to see files in XP, I am using 2 OS XP and Unix, and i need to put data on XP.
2. Concerning the stop, it's not really working with me, any suggestions

I'm afraid you need to provide more information.

"Unix 5.5" does not sound meaningful. Do you have more information about which vendor or what hardware you are using?

Your mounting question sounds like you are probably using Linux or some BSD variant. The "mount" command is able to mount NTFS disks read-only or read-write on many modern consumer Linux/*BSD systems, but we really need to know a bit more about which one of those you are on.

It's not at all clear what you mean by "the stop". If you mean how to shut down the system, this depends again on what system you are using. On Gnome and KDE, the login screen has an option to shut down the system.
