Hello All,

I have a Knoppix CD. I am able to boot Knoppix(Linux) from the CD.

How do I save a document that I created using OpenOffice(Writer) to either my harddrive on Windows or to a USB instead of the CD itself.

I am new to Knoppix and am not sure of the GUI. I tried mounting the USB drive with the 'mount' command but it says that I have to be at root. I don't have a login account but just work at the KDE. There is no icon for USB on the desktop.

I would appreciate if you can give me a step by step method to access either the USB or the Windows harddrive.

mount your hard disk then you can save it on that..

well. im my experience knoppix is not good for that.
i tried to revive a system with it, and managing to mount some partition was a pain

try using ubuntu, or DSL if your pc is not powerful enough for ubuntu (or dont want to wit for the download)
