Data rtrim in unix

Hi All,

I need help in triming this input to the desired output
95441,000000000000563
75461,000000000000630
98488,000000000000567
45492,000000000000695
45532,0000000000004674
45553,0000000000000
45569,000000000000233
45573,0000000000000


the out put desired is i.e the second column should contain only 12 digits from right to left.

95441,0000000000563
75461,0000000000630

You can use the awk printf function with appropriate format specifiers, e.g.

awk -F, -v OFS=, '{printf("%d,%012d\n",$1,$2)}' inputfile > outputfile

bash-2.05$ awk -F, -v OFS=, '{printf("%d,%012d\n",$1,$2)}' adj.txt
awk: syntax error near line 1

Strange, I didn't think I was using any fancy awk features... anyway, try using nawk instead. The default awk on Solaris is ancient.
