Hi carl thanks for the reply this is actually one of the work around i have in mind unfortunately the timing is not constant.
This is my current process:
1) FTP files from windows to unix
This is the ftp batch file(sample) in windows that i have
open <unix_box_ip>
user <username> <password>
cd /home/<username>/dump/
mput <file>*
bye
2) after this is done i log-in to my unix box and under /home/<username> i have a script there name script1 (script1 cleans up and appends all content of all file* to one file name fileout) which I could trigger manually by just typing it as the permission of the file is already 777.
the script would actually copy the cleanup file (fileout) to another directory under /home/<username>/cleanupfile.
3) and i have another batch file would get that cleanup file.
open <unix_box_ip>
user <username> <password>
cd /home/<username>/cleanupfile/
mget <fileout>*
bye
....
I try modifying the batch file in the first step to look like this
open <unix_box_ip>
user <username> <password>
cd /home/<username>/dump/
mput <file>*
cd /home/<username>
script1
cd /home/<username>/cleanupfile
mget <fileout>*
bye
but the script1 is running at all.
