I'm digging around one of my HPUX machines, and I've got to wondering what lbin directories are for.

I understand bin and sbin directories, but I don't think I've ever seen an explanation for lbin. Any insights?

lbin contains pre/post exec commands for users executions

In other words Backends to other commands (and not specificaly user commands...)
