Those that read carefully... sorry I misunderstood. For testing you can use
Code:
od -o yourfile| grep -qE " 015|015 " > /dev/null 2>&1; echo $?

Then just test $? with "if" if != 0 or something.
# 9

just to test i don't thik you need od command
grep '^M' filename >> /dev/null;echo $?
will also work
# 10

If you write it with ctrlV ctrlM yes, but I usually don't like such control characters in scripts. But just as he likes Smilie
