Next to impossible question

I noticed that I have a print job that is hung up (lpstat -o) due to a broken printer. Is there a way to re-route the printed information into a text file? Or does it exist somewhere in UNIX as a text file?

I dont think it would be a 'text' file.

But check in /var/spool/cups ?? Pulling out of the air

im thinking it would be a file prn.00000XX

But im just guessing, and I cant replicate that at the moment.

Check the /var/spool/cups directory for spool files. See if you can read/extract what you want. I'm assuming Linux/cups - mainly because ikon did.

Printing is not the same in every unix. Can you post the output from:

uname -a
