I want to automate tarring a directory then using ftp to transfer the files over.
I was able to put the commands together but what I'm noticing is that only the very first file is being tarred and then transferred.

4 files are returned when i issue 'find . -mtime -1 -type f -ls'.

However, when I issued the below command:

Hi,
I want to backup my SQL database using tar zip but I'm paranoid that I will archive it. What I mean is I want the files to stay where they are but make a zipped copy of the files as well, I don't want to delete the originals.
Is the command?
