MySQL FTP again

What i'm looking for is a program to install on a server, that when a file is being transfered using ftp, the user is prompted for their name, and theie name, the file they downloaded, and the time are all recorded in a file somewhere.
If anyone knows of software like that it would be a great help.
Freeware if possible
Thanks...

Hey look at this site. It gives an FTP Scheduler User Interface.

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&l...e"+"user+name"

paste this in the url.

select the third heading with FTP Scheduler User Interface.
It asks for a userid and password. Just press cancel and try entering in.

Is this what u r looking for?

Thanks Nisha, but what i'm looking for is something like, when the user clicks the "Save to disk" or "Run from current location" they are prompted to enter their name. When they do, their name, the time, the date, and the name of the downloaded file are automatically save is some file, without the person who downloaded the file even realising.
Now if you can find something like that, I'll owe you a beer....

MySQL

It gives you the IP address. What i'm hoping to find is a program that after the file is selected, a gui or window or something comes up and you enter in just your name. When you hit OK your name, the time & date, and the downloaded file are all saved in a file somewhere which can be accessed later-on if need be.....

hmm, i dont really know if there are any ftp servers that can do that, but, if you are good with cgi, maybe you could do it in a cgi script run from a website and the user would access the ftp service from the cgi script.
