UNIX for Dummies Questions & Answers

hello all, first of all i'm not sure this is correct place to post but i could not find a place about certificates and exams so this seemed most appropriate.

i'm interested in CEH if it's any good and where to take exams, and any books you can forward me to. i do have one book but it's couple years old.

also atm i'm studying for ccna and intend to get ccsp aswell, i was wondering if CEH would be good additation. so all the info and advices about CEH are welcome

Before you do that - you really should know the architecture of programs - stack, heap, etc, assembler, C, and a smattering of other languages, as well as some other features of UNIX. It is really meant for a Senior Programmer Analyst with like 7 years experience in programming.

See - Jack Koziol's 'Shellcoders Handbook' or same title, 2nd Ed. by Chris Anley. CEH is explained in there. If you are comfortable with all the material in either book, go for it.

Depending on where you are in the world, certification can be very important.

If the country you plan to work in is big on certifications, then you should get your CEH, if you are going to work in that field.
