Data traceroute dosent work
hi , folks i m back with again some silly question i think.!!
i can do ftp , telnet from windows to unix machine , but not vice versa!!! , from unix box , i get connection refused , and ping says not alive. ,...my os . solaris 7 , ok i know ishouldnt load network by using traceroute , but itried it , nopes.
can any body help?

ok it is not silly question.
u can do ping from windows and cant do it to windows from unix ? right.
it is nothing but network issue , u got fire wall or something on other side , thts windows side , like an antivirus sitting there for any packets that drop by.
so just check out , u r right traceroute load network , use netstat.

i just had installed a new antivirus yesterday ,...and it had personal firewall as setting , removed the fire wall , could do the pinging...gr8
