Data i cant see anything

yesterday i've updated online my ditribution of Ubuntu. and there were some video drivers or packages for 2d or 3d acceleration instaled. after i reboot my laptop, i can see the big Ubuntu logo (boot screen) but when it should prompt for my user and password, i cant see anything. it's just a white screen that somehow flickers a little.

what can i do? please please help me.

thanks in advance

change to an commandline screen with alt+f1/2/3 and you should be able to login.
