i'm trying to script to compare the same directory on the lpar.
The problem is i'm using the command : find /etc -type d -ls but i cannot reach the remote lpar.
I have another solution to put that command in a text file and compare with Excel.

i recently copied 400GB of data from a NTFS drive to a ext4 drive. I want to verify that the data is 100% identical to the original.
I wanted to use cmp but it only does two files. The directory that was copied contains many subdirectories and all sorts of files (not just text).

Is there a way (either commands/tools/scripts/logic) to compare two given folders on different unix boxes. I want to compare folder a in Unix box 'A' with folder 'b' in Unix box 'B'. I can run the script in Unix box 'A'.

ARGUMENTS
A UUID in the following form: C069d9fb6-943e-11cd-a35c-0000c08adf56 The name of the uuid operation for which to display help information.
DESCRIPTION
The uuid object generates and compares Universal Unique Identifiers (UUIDs). UUIDs uniquely identify DCE entities such as principals, RPC
entries, Cell Directory Service (CDS) replicas, and so on.
OPERATIONS
uuid compare
Compares two UUIDs. The syntax is as follows: uuid compare uuid uuid
The compare operation compares two UUIDs, returning 1 if they are equal or 0 if they are not. Because the uuid compare command handles the
comparison of UUIDs in current and previous DCE formats, you should use it rather than string compare.
Privileges Required
No special privileges are needed to use the uuid compare command.
Examples
dcecp> uuid compare 03bb2688-943e-11cd-8bfd-0000c08adf56 > 069d9fb6-943e-11cd-a35c-0000c08adf56 0 dcecp>
uuid create
Returns a newly generated UUID. The syntax is as follows: uuid create

Returns help information about the uuid object and its operations. The syntax is as follows: uuid help [operation | -verbose]
Options Displays information about the uuid object.

argument is the name of an operation about which you want detailed information. Alternatively, you can use the -verbose option for more
detailed information about the uuid object itself.

No special privileges are needed to use the uuid help command.
