Network Administration Software

Hi guys,

I'm not very familiar with UNIX.. still have a lot to learn. I also
interested in Networking... Can anyone tell me what are the tool or software for network administration which we can monitor our network activities such as network traffic analysis,can capture and decode network packets, identifies and prepares the list of active network stations

Thank you.

P/S: Where can I get the basic commands of UNIX?

Here is a list of available network analysis software.
You may try Snort or NeoTrace, its one of a powerfull Network Analysis Software to date. Thumbs up for my Server Use.

Basic Commands of Unix, i suggest the best way is thru books. Check Orilieys Unix Books (Retail, BookStore).
