vi editor question
Hi,

How do you delete from where ever you are to the bottom of the page. I'm pretty sure it was a simple command but can't pull it out of memory.

Try this:

The dot means "from the current line", the dollar "til the end of the document".

Hi.

If by bottom of page you meant end of the file, then follow robotronic's advice.

If you meant end of display -- the current data that you see in the window -- then you can use the 2 keystrokes dL. Moving the cursor on the display is provided by H M L, head (top), middle, and last (bottom), so you may use those to delete from the current line to top, middle, bottom ... cheers, drl
