Doubt User Log
How can I identify usernames on UNIX, when these users don't access the server, they access folders on this server. Is it possible? Smilie

You'll need to clarify your question sorry. What are these users using to access folders on the system? Samba? FTP? IMAP folders? LDAP?

What authentication are they using? Seperate file? Synched to some outside source? Unix account authentication?

What information are you after? The username they logged in via? Or something else?

Hi,

The ERP Baan users conect using a BW client, and this client use a bshell connection with Unix server. The folders were on Unix Server and they use Unix authentication. I need to know how long ago the user didn't log or access the server or folder, because I would like to elimitate "ghost" users.

The BW client works with the std OS security files. On most platforms you can use the shadow file to see last connection.
You can also use user history inside the application to track user connections.
Depending on your flavor of Baan, you can track the license connection log.

Hi, I have a script giving option to allow user who run the script log out the server. I used 'exit' when user chose this option. But it didn't work the way I wanted.
