Directoryaccess logging?
Is there any way in Unix-Solaris8 to get information about who´s been accessing my home directory at school?

I do not believe this is possible (at least, if it is, I have never heard of it)

This is based on my environment, so it may be inaccurate. Dynix/ptx 4.4.8 and AIX 4.3.3.

If one had the right privledges, a script could be written to search the .sh_history files that reside under each user's home directory, and check for entries containing your home directory.

However, problems with this theory would quickly arise if there were generic users on the system, and/or if one could not get the proper rights to search everyone else's session history.

Just a thought...

You could also simply lock down permissions on your dir, so that no one (besides root) could even cd to your directory. If root wants in, there's nothing you can do about it anyways, so I guess you can't worry about that all that much now, eh?
