UNIX for Dummies Questions & Answers

hi,

I m not able to see manual page of any commmand in my linux system.
every time if i m typing $man <comand> it is showing the no manual
entry . I think the man path is not set properrly . could any one tell me how
to get the man pages location in the system so that i can set it. OR any other
method to solve this problem ?

Code:

echo $MANPATH

if it returns blank line then set the path

for c shell, use setenv

for bash and ksh,

use export

to make the changes permanent, add to your .profile
