Power Help with ssh

Is there a way to use SSH to login into a Linux server from outside the firewall (without going through VPN)?

Thanks in advance

Why do you want to do this? It isn't really advisable.

I know, but this will make the life of some people here a lot easier if they don't have to login through VPN

I trust you are including hackers in the list of people that life will be made easy for. Daft idea as has already been said.

The correct way is to set up a rule that allows incoming port 22.

If that is not allowed, then if ssh outgoing is allowed then set up a tunnel from by connecting from inside the firewall outwards to your client, then you connect by ssh from your client through that tunnel.
