Compaq Proliant ML370 G2 with Broadcom BCM5703 NIC

I am trying to re-install this netwrok adapter on a server which has just had the motherboard replaced - so much for fault tolerant. I am running SCO Opensercer 5.0.7

Can anyone tell me the Bus no , device number etc that I need to configure this card?

Thanks in advance
Richard

That will depend on the slot number that it is in.
Some system bios will display this information during boot up.
Have you changed the order of any of the other pci cards in the system, or have you disabled/enabled any on board features that is different from the original mother board?

Thanks for the reply JGT. Its a completely new Mborad with embedded controller so I assumed that the settings would be the same.

Problem is I am not currently on site so people are trying to relay messages to me. Are you referring to teh BIOS diags or the UNIX diagnostice?

I tried to reconfig the IP address via netconfig but although the BCM5703 appears as a device it wont le me view or modify it so I assumed that SCO cant see it. Would al embedded devices be on slot 0 ??

The CMOS settings.
I don't very often work with Proliants so the following are only suggestions.
Does the smartstart cd have any diagnostic software that will display the data you are looking for?
Is the CMOS accessed by pressing F10 on boot up.
Does the new motherboard have features that the old one did not (USB,sound)?

On typical no-name desktop systems that have an Award BIOS, the bus number, device number and the third item is listed on the monitor after the table that shows the amount of memory, and serial parallel port addresses etc, and before the boot prompt, put a bootable CD in the drive to slow the process down.
