Well, you are almost there...... looks like you found the right line... what do you want to do next? Change/edit the second ifconfig line for a new address? Do you need the nat0 interface? How are you connected to your ISP?

how to edit

I viewed those lines by typing more /etc/tcp like you said, but I still don't know how to edit them?

We are connected through an ISDN router, which I have running NAT.

OK.... before you edit, you need to do some design..... what is the IP address and subnet mask of the internal (your platform) side of the ISDN router?

Have you got all that 'figured-out' on paper?

specs

The new specs I want to assign are..

IP: 206.46.26.67(sco unix)
SUBNET: 255.255.255.240(given to me by ISP)
GATEWAY: 206.46.26.65(router)
BROADCAST: 206.46.26.79(given to me by ISP)

I'm not sure if I've given you all the information you were asking for?

Thank you for all of your help so far, it's been a great deal of help to be able to get support from this board.

command

Is there just a way to let me know verbatum the command line I need to type?

You need to edit the file and add the information in your post (from your ISP) and you are all set..... there will be an ifconfig entry and a route command entry.
