changing sendmail configurations in sol9

Hello everbody:

I have a Sun V480 with Solaris9 on it, and IT is sending mails using smtpd to some mail server, and now we have to change the IP address of that mail server, Do you have any idea where should I change that IP address, can

Modify the DS parameter in the sendmail.cf file, then restart sendmail (if you're running sendmail > 8.7.x you can get away with sending a HUP).

The "correct" way to build your sendmail configuration file is to edit the appropriate .mc file under /usr/lib/mail/cf and build with m4, but who doesn't know sendmail.cf inside and out Smilie

Thx for your reply zazzybob.
I think a UNIX dummy writing question in unix dummies section is not quite supposed to know about send mail configuration inside out or he woldnt have asked Smilie

Im not sure if i did the right HUP thing, how can I make sure It's changed appropriatyly now,

Im trying to send some mail to check the new configuration
this is the command im using:

mail -x hello ranger

is it right like that, or there is sth i have to correct.
