Question Accessing .a archives in win32 environment

I am not very familiar with the .a Unix library filetype. Is it possible to extract the contents of a .a in a win32 environment?

Thank you.

Hi,

I've not come across .a archives myself but I found a page that has a couple of possible listings for them

http://filext.com/detaillist.php?extdetail=A

Might be worth trying to open it with something like WinRAR Smilie
