Fedora is a project in general and RedHat is the sponsor for Fedora project

there is no fedora linux as such

I think you meant Fedora Core Series. Even they are not just linux as such, a complete OS.

As of my knowledge after FC5 release, they are with FC6 called the 'zod'. Smilie

The main difference is RedHat Linux is the stable for sale Kernel whereas Fedora (still a Linux Kernel) is a developement version, free to download. But RedHat do not support it in the same way as the purchased Kernel. I have tried Fedora and must say there are a few bugs!

Lightbulb FC is free

FC is a freely downlodable version of Linux and The RedHat is a enterprise package now, you have to buy license and support for that.
It is now RHEL ( Red hat enterprise Linux)
