Thanks Reborg,
I did not have any idea about this prune, now I tried it and I was successful in doing it

Syntax :
find . -name unwanted -prune -o -type f -exec fgrep -l 'pattern' {} \;

Example:
find . -name logs -prune -o -type f -exec grep "7001" {} \;

Smilie Smilie Smilie

Thanks once again.
But i have a doubt regarding -o why should it be used here?

You are tell it to do:

Code:
find . -name unwanted -prune

or else ( if it doesn't match )
Code:
find -type f -exec fgrep -l 'pattern' {} \;

The second statement is executed if the first does not match. In the two code snippets I posted the second is what happens for anything that doesn't match the first.
