Help Help Help!

got this mondo big problem. we have this old server running SCO unix. in particular it is our old finance server. runs some software called SI Systems ANITA. anyway, the tape drive broke down on us. i only need to get 2 more solid back ups on this thing. one ASAP and one in 30 to 60 days.
my question, is there a way to map to a shared drive and point the back up to it? i could replace the ancient tape drive if they even make them, BUT, this server is in an office where people smoke {i live in vegas} so you can imagine the condition of the PC. i really dont want to shut it down AT ALL untill i get at least one back up. just worried that the poor old abused thing will die on us and not want to reboot.
i am the network admin for our shop and built the current windows domain. i have very little {none, ahem} experience with unix aside from what i read on the net. so maybe some one can give me direction on what i need to do here to get at least one back up ASAP and one in a couple of months?
like i said, it would be nice to map a drive and send the backup to a folder on a PC in our domain, then burn said back up.
thanks for the help and reading this long-winded problem
AJ
