Linux and SUN micro System question

I have linux OS and i am trying to connect to a Sun microsystem Netra, i am using RJ45 to serial port connector, what telnet device can i use to remotely connect to the netra, if anybody could help i will really appreciate it.

Something like /dev/ttyS0

You cannot, telnet to it, it's a serial connection.

I usually use minicom on /dev/ttyS0 (com1) or /dev/ttyS1 (com2)

thanx, i am kind of new to unix, so how would i configure /dev/ttyS1 or /dev/ttyS0?

You mean the ALOM?
If you do, you won't be able to make a network connection to it until you first configure it (give it an IP, mask, broadcast IP) through the console.

sorry to bother you so much...

i will be given it a static IP address, once i do that, than i should download ALOM 1.5, and connect through ALOM?
