Then you simply do not have enough permissions
Use scp user@host, where user -the user that have access to files to copy

I need to do the same but I need to know a few things. How do I copy files from my PC to the server and THEN from one server to another? I am using Cygwin right now for server access. I also have access through Putty.

1-go to the folder where your data is available
2-ftp -s:tm.txt 192.168.0.100

the tm.txt is a file in the same folder that havs the following commands:
line 1:username
line 2 : password
line 3: cd the folder you want to put data in
line 4 : mput *

good luck

Regards
