Data simple commands

Can anybody help me how to display a list of unix commands. I have an account in unix,just start to use it, but don't know how

type this.

ls /bin /usr/bin /usr/local/bin > commands ; more commands

that is a list of just about every command u could use as a user. to find out what they do.

type "man &ltcommand&gt"
