Question to a Perderabo script

Hi
I tried this date script https://www.unix.com/unix-for-dummies-questions-and-answers/4870-days-elapsed-between-2-dates-post16559.html#post16559 but I am probably doing something wrong.
If i type:
datecalc -a 2006 05 01 + 5
I get following error message:
datecalc: Syntax error at line 207

If i look at line 207 i dont get it! But thats not surprising. But it would be great if someone could help cause its exactly why i am looking for.

Thanks
David

My guess would be that the script was not executed with ksh. Make that you have execute permission set on the script and that /usr/bin/ksh is really the path to the korn shell.

Its almost too embarassing to say but it had nothing to do with your script more with my copy paste! Smilie

But thanks for the hint.

Regards,
David

Perderabo, I copied the mimetool script and am running it on an HP-UX release 11i, and in most cases it works like a charm. But I ran into the following issue; I extracted data from an Oracle database and formatted the results as a *.csv file so that the user can view it as an excel... (4 Replies)

This post is here because I couldn't think of putting it anywhere else, and also I imagine it will be deleted since we cannot set this sort of a precedent.
