Wow, where to start on this one!!!

If you don't know what telnet is then your probally not ready to create webpages and dump them on Unix.

Your question is very broad.

Setting up a webpage involves more than just having a Unix account somewhere. Is that Unix server running Apache? Do you know what apache is? What software does this unix server run for serving webpages? Is this server accessable via the net by port 80?

Search some of older posts and do a little research before posting very broad questions like this.

Read about apache and learn some basic Unix stuff.

Or get software like PageMill, FrontPage ... etc. These will guide you through setting up a webpage. You can then copy it over to a unix/windows server - I'm sure your ISP can help in that regard.

or that...

If the web-page is your only interest and you do not plan to be involved into UNIX in general, save a headache and use one of endless places around Inet where you can build the page with online provided tools. Learn UNIX to get a web page it is like learn chemistry to get a pill of aspirin.
