there should be some processes running, not the least of which should be rpc.statd (or similar), this will tell rpcinfo (if I remmeber right) what is running on the box. If there are mno rpc services/ daemons running, there will be none registered with the rpc service and hence, no connection/bind/registration. This happens with NFS servers that lose the registration of the share with the RPC service on the box.
also check on rpcbind in the man pages, this will give more info.
Been trying to get a directory NFS-mounted with no success. I've tried both NFS v3 and v4, but currently trying v4. I can't figure out what's going on here.

I have two servers with a fresh install of Solaris 11, and having problems when doing rpcinfo between them. There is no firewall involved, so everything should theoretically be getting through. Does anyone have any ideas? I did a lot of Google searches, and haven't found a working solution yet.
