Question Can you use linux apps on unix
I know its a stupid question... but i cant find anyone that will host on linux for the prices i want. I want to host a game server

You can recompile the source if you find a port for something.

For example, there are versions of most of the GNU apps for most common UNIX platforms.

If you mean "binary compatible" - no.
