installing Orcale 8i on unix
Dear Sir,

I am working in a bank and our parent bank has developed an application package which will work with oracle 8i on unix platform. The unix on the server is unix ware 7.1.1 with pro*c compiler. My question is

1. Whether Oracle 8i or above for windows will work on any unix version
2. We have SCO unix 5.1.2. Whether oracle requires a unix ver higher than this? If so what are the minimum requirements?

If you have Oracle 8i for Windows, it won't work on another OS.

SCO 5.1.2? Are you sure? Check out Oracle's documentation to see what Oracle 8i will run on.
