Copying files from file to another
How do I copy one file from one unix file to another??? I'm new at this, please help..

The UNIX version of this command is cp.

Code:
man cp

will show you how to use the command.

cp sourceFile destinationFile

To copy contents into a file into other directory
cp filename pathofdest
ex:cp file1 ./x here ' . ' refers to the current directory i.e x and is copied with the same name
to change the filename
cp file1 ./x/file2
here file1 is copied into x directory into the file2
